Motorcycle Training Classes & Courses
Camrider is an Approved Training Body licenced by the DVSA
Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)
CBT is a course of instruction and assessment for new riders wanting to ride a moped or geared motorcycle. It must be taken by any rider wanting to use a 50cc moped, or 125cc motorcycle before they get on the road using “L” plates.

a) UK provisional licence photocard
b) Minimum age: 16
What is included
- CBT certificate (DL196)
- Loan 50cc Moped or 125cc Motorcycle
- Petrol and insurance
- Loan helmet, gloves, jackets and waterproofs
- Expert instruction from DVSA qualified instructors
Full motorcycle test
Pass your full motorcycle test and ride a large cc motorcycle. Training is provided by our expert, DVSA qualified instructors and we provide a fully managed service including CBT, online theory practice, full DVSA training & the final practical tests.
Full Test
Entry requirements:
a) UK provisional licence photocard
b) Minimum ages:
24 years for “A” licence = Any cc any power
19 years for “A2” licence = Any cc max 47bhp power
c) A motorcycle theory test pass. You can start the course without this but will need a pass at least 10 days before your final tests

Recently completed my full bike license with cam rider Peterborough and was extremely happy with the training I received throughout, I had different trainers throughout , Laura, Mark and Paulous in particular, all with different riding styles helping me to take the skills forward and become an all round rider. although I hadn’t rode bikes in years and was a little nervous at the beginning they all made me feel relaxed and at ease when carrying out my training, highly recommend using these guys! I signed up for the CBT as a an absolute newbie to bikes and mopeds and I’ve passed! Such good instructors, so calm and positive. And a special thank you to Laura, who kept me from flapping and got me from a nervous wobbly rider to happily negotiating the roads for real! Highly recommend!

A dream come true – all thanks to this school!
From day one, I felt I was in great hands. Passing CBT, Mod 1, and Mod 2 on the first try seemed like a big challenge, but with instructors like Paulius and Ray, it all became possible. Paulius is simply an outstanding instructor – he explains everything clearly, stays calm, and genuinely believes in his students.He is also very friendly and funny too!Ray is amazing – always with a smile and the right advice at the right moment.We had a good lesson ride before my Mod2!
The office staff were also really friendly, helpful, and professional – every interaction was smooth and pleasant, which made the whole experience even better.
The quality of training is top-level, and the atmosphere is both friendly and professional. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking not just for motorcycle training, but for a supportive and motivating community!

I did a direct access course and passed mod1 and mod2 with Mark R instructing this summer, couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. Always felt safe out on the road under instruction, bikes were in good condition, generally a great experience. The ladies in the office are also really helpful and friendly. I would absolutely recommend learning to ride with the Peterbrough Camrider team!
