Located just outside of Cambridge with lots of free secure parking, bus routes outside and Whittlesford train station just under a mile away, we are ideally located to serve Cambridge and the surrounding towns and villages.
What marks our Cambridge site as unique is that it is a full-time purpose-designed and built facility that has classrooms, workshop, office, large off-road training pad with good rest facilities including bathrooms and kitchen.
We like to look after our customers and there are no bussing people to remote patches of concrete/ tarmac, no issues with being caught short if you need the bathroom, and of course, you can safely park, change and store your personal items in locked facilities and have an air-conditioned rest area to have a free tea or coffee. This we believe puts you at ease and helps riders, particularly our female customers, to feel safe and properly cared for.

Brilliant team at Camrider and love the vibe.
Started off with my eldest son completing his CBT, followed by myself and my youngest taking it together. I caught the motorcycling bug and went on to complete my full A1 licence. Instructors were excellent, very relaxed, easy style focusing on getting you through with confidence.
Met a whole range of people, of all ages completing the courses and I can’t recommend highly enough.

I completed a CBT + full DAS course with Camrider (including CBT refresher) and the whole experience was phenomenal from top to bottom.
Vicky is an administrative powerhouse and a cornerstone of getting all the sessions organised and booked in; she was incredibly accomodating around my scheduling constraints and she and Luke are additionally both thoroughly knowlegeable when it comes to all things kit and gear.
I had the pleasure of being taught by Arron and Matt (and Ian all the way back on my first CBT day), all of whom are calm, insightful, and experienced instructors who work tirelessly to improve your riding skills and confidence. I had both 1-to-1 and 2-to-1 coaching and the standard across the board was exceptional, with a great mix of friendly banter alongside encouragement and coaching tips.
I pased both my Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests first time, with the whole DAS course spread out across roughly 2 months.
The team at Camrider Sawston are truly motorbike people through and through, and strive to get the best out of you. I would recommend their training school and gear shop without hesitation to anyone considering dipping their toes into the world of motorcycles.

Had a great experience over a month and a half learning to ride with Aaron and Matt! Fantastic instructors, always calm, constructive and knowledgeable. Passed Mod 1 and 2 first time mainly due to their tutelage. Also had a great experience with Vicky at the shop upstairs getting kitted out! Highly recommend.

After hearing glowing recommendations from friends and seeing consistently excellent reviews, I decided to start my motorcycle training with Camrider Sawston on the 6th of February. I’m happy to say I passed my MOD1 on the first attempt and, as of today, passed my MOD2 first time as well.
Before signing up I visited the site, and Vicky at reception immediately made a great impression. She was extremely friendly, welcoming, and patiently answered all of my questions, which really helped me feel confident about choosing Camrider.
In terms of value for money, Camrider is slightly more expensive per training hour compared to some other providers in the area. However, having completed the course, I can honestly say it was worth every penny. The quality of instruction is outstanding. I trained with both Aaron and Matt, mostly with Matt, and both are incredibly talented, patient, and dedicated instructors. They clearly hold students to the same high standards. Personally I preferred Matt’s teaching style, but that’s purely down to individual preference as both instructors are excellent.
The overall atmosphere is fantastic. The team creates a friendly, supportive, almost family-like environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
The training facilities are very good. Slow manoeuvres are practised on site, while the faster MOD1 manoeuvres take place off site on a private road. One thing to note is that students don’t practise on a full regulation-sized MOD1 course until the day of the test itself. For me personally this didn’t make any difference at all to my ability to execute the manoeuvres.
There was one occasion where the service could have been slightly better, when a training session had to be cancelled last minute due to instructor sickness. Ideally I would have appreciated earlier notice, although I understand the team may have been trying to arrange alternatives at the time. Interestingly, many of my later sessions ended up being one-to-one with Matt, which actually contributed significantly to my progress and learning.
One area where Camrider could improve would be diversity within the instructor team. Currently it feels somewhat stereotypical with one woman handling administrative duties while all instructors are male. It would be great to see efforts made to recruit a female instructor and promote more diversity within the training staff.
Overall, I genuinely really enjoyed my experience with Camrider. Every member of staff I interacted with was friendly and professional. A sincere thank you to Matt, followed by Aaron, for helping me through my learning journey. Their training clearly paid off and was reflected in my MOD2 evaluation today.
I would highly recommend Camrider to anyone looking to learn to ride.

From start to finish I can’t fault anyone at camriders in sawston. Everyone amazing from start to finish, vicky was brilliant. Always meeting you with a smile on the front desk. The instructors Matt and arron( congrats on the newborn sir) are very good and will help you go from zero to a rider. I’ve had zero experience on a bike when started and passed first time on all mods. They will teach you to a higher standard so you’re ready. Plus they are top guys as well. Can’t thank them enough and being very patient! To the other guys I was with on my training hope you’ve passed as well and I’ll see you all on the road soon 🤙 thanks again to everyone at camriders. Appreciate you all
